Birthday Boy!

It was Nick's 23rd Birthday on Tuesday, He is getting so old! :) I asked him what he wanted for his Birthday
breakfast and he said steak, eggs, and hash browns, so we decided it would be best if we just went  to Ihop. That night we went to my parents house for his birthday party. I ran to Albertson's to get some Birthday decoration. Bad idea!
I asked someone to blow me up six balloons, I swear it took him about an hour to blow them up, when he came out he only had five but I didn't even care at that point I just wanted to get back to Nick, then I noticed the two red ones were deflated as you can tell by the picture above, I asked him if they were going to float eventually and he tells me, if they don't you can just tape them to the wall....umm hello if I wanted to tape them to the wall I wouldn't buy helium balloons!! I could tell he was a little slow so I just bought my balloons, party hats, and happy birthday sign. I was pretty annoyed when I got to my parents, I hung up the sign and then later noticed its missing the Y on birthday as you can also see above, so pretty much I will never buy birthday supply from Albersons again. Then the party started.
My family gave his a movie date night for two and a year x-box live which he has been wanting for months, so he was pretty excited. My favorite gift was from "Landon" or more so the wrapping of it.
Nick unwrapped the first present and found a pad box, inside that he unwrapped a cake box with a 50 cents off of cinnamon rolls (how nice of him), inside the cake box he unwrapped a costume sewing pattern, and then finally inside that he unwrapped the actual gift which was call of duty black ops, he had been wanting that so he was very happy.
I got Nick a tool storage chest, he was is desperate need, he had some of his tools stored in a diaper box I don't know where he even got that. He also picked out some clothes for his birthday.
Haha what a good sport, I wanted to see what is would look like. We had a lot of fun, I didn't want his birthday to end I just love birthdays but we are celebrating his moms and his birthday this weekend.

Bright Sun-Shiny Florida

Nick and I were lucky enough to go to Florida for our 1 year anniversary. We had the best time, luckily this time we didn't miss our flight and our luggage wasn't lost. Our first full day in Florida we headed off to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure with our park hoppers.
and that is where we got this little beaut, we could not stop laughing about the picture.
The second day we went to Busch Gardens in Tampa bay. It started a little rocky, the first ride we went on Nick realized he lost his phone so we went back and asked if they had it, the guy asked him to identify what was on the screen on his phone, unfortunately it was the picture above haha. so we had to put his phone and my camera in our backpack outside the theme park, so we didn't get many pictures. They almost didn't let us back in because we didn't get a hand stamp when we left, but luckily they let us in. The best ride in the theme park was closed for the day so we were pretty sad about that but we still had lots of fun.

On the third day we went to Universal and Islands of adventure again.
On the fourth day we decided we wanted to take it easy and have a more relaxing day, so we decided to go to Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum. They had the most interesting things there like, Beyonce made out of candy, The tallest man, the biggest and smallest chair, the biggest shirt, the fattest man, man with the biggest nose (poor thing), Mona Lisa made out of toast, a man who could sit in a oven with raw meat and sit in there while it cooked without burning, and many more random things.
On day five which was our actual anniversary, we went to Typhoon Lagoon. The funnest day we had while we were there, I don't know if its because it was our anniversary or what. When we got there they gave up two pins each, one said Happy Anniversary, and the other one said happily ever after. We bought a water proof camera and had way to much fun with it.
I have to say this was a huge deal for me, at the water park they have a snorkel section with sharks, stingray, and fish, when I came here with my family I would not do it so I was pretty proud of myself.
On our last full day we went to Universal and Islands of Adventure again!
The Harry Potter section was so awesome! The pictures don't do it justice, it just seemed so magical. It was always crazy busy in that section so we didn't get to spend as much time there as I would have liked.

We bought three days at the parks so we got a fourth day free, so the day we had to fly out we decided to pack in as much as we could and go to universal and Islands of Adventure again since our flight didn't leave until six that evening.

We probably went on all those rides at least 5 times each all the time we spent there, and how short the lines were. After we left we headed straight for the airport and had to come back to cold weather. We had such a great time I am so glad we decided to go!

Time Bandit!

Since Nick's life right now consists of working around 10 hours a day, 7 days a week on a tiny island in Alaska, its always good when he gets to do something exciting. He got the chance to go on the Time Bandit and meet the crew, if you don't know what that is, its the boat on The Deadliest Catch. The guys told him a camera crew was going to be coming in a couple weeks to start to film a new season.
He said the bottom was full with 400,000 Lbs of fish.
Let me just tell you working in Alaska is not an easy task. working none stop, no days off for three or more months straight, on an island with nothing to do, I don't know how he does it but I am thankful that he did it for us. Only a few more weeks, I never thought this day would come! I cant wait to have my husband back!

Work Work Work

So as some of you may know I went to beauty school, and have been done for over a year. I was not able to work in a salon because I had to finish paying my school off before they would release my hours. I had to work at jobs I hated even though I was done with school. We got it paid off and I finally get to be doing what I love! Finding a job was a bit of a pain but I finally found one I LOVE!! I love everything about where I work! I love that I get to set my own prices, I love that I can come in, or not come in when I want, I love doing people's hair and I LOVE LOVE LOVE being my own boss! Here are some pics of my little space.

My business card!!
On a side note Nick comes home this month!!!!! I cant wait!!!

Adventures of California

I got to go to California with my family for five days of fun (thank you mom and dad). My mom was already in California for work, so my dad, Landon, Brylee, and me flew in a few days after her. When we got to California we went bowling at an awesome bowling alley!

My dad was first up, so while the rest of us were still getting ready, and putting on our shoes, my dad decided to go. We look over and he is laying down in the middle of the lane, he obviously was not paying attention and went to far down the lane and fell.
Landon's first kiss.
The second day we were there we went to the ocean and shopping. The ocean was so cold not just the water but the air, I felt like I was back in Idaho.
It was so cold we decided to just go to the hotel pool.
After swimming we went to downtown Disney to shop and eat dinner.
Day 3 We went to DISNEY LAND! the happiest place on earth.
My dad in that peter pan hat makes me laugh!
Landon reenacting his run in with that exact bush earlier that day.
Day four we went to California Adventure. It was my first time lots of fun!
Since Nick couldn't be there with me, I of course had to get a picture by the N to! The best ride there was the Hollywood tower of terror, so unexpected.
We went back to Disney Land since it closed later than California Adventure. We didn't have much time so we decided to go on the Indiana Jones ride one last time. It was a 45 minute wait but we decided to just stick it out. After already being in line for at least 45 minutes because of the stupid fast passers (except when its us) the ride broke down. We had to wait about another 20 minutes before it started up again. We get on the ride, and get closer to the end and all of a sudden our car stops. It was kinda scary we were at the part with skeletons coming at you with sticks, and the hydraulics kept going for a bit going side to side back and forth.  Slowly but surely my claustrophobia started to set in, the seat belt was so tight and they would not let us take them off. we had to wait on the car for about a half an hour. Finally they came with a latter to climb off the jeeps. They got the people off at the jeeps at the beginning of the ride and worked there way back. They made us stand in a single filed line. It was actually pretty cool and got to take pictures. Here are some of the pictures.
We had to fly back to Utah the next day. My dad was trying to return our rental car, but could not find it. He was making a u turn and was not paying attention and not even joking was inches away from a telephone pole, He hit that curb pretty hard though. After that he missed the turn again went to make another u turn and hit that curb, but that time he popped the tire. My dad was jacking up the car to put on the spare and the jack bent. A homeless guy came over and helped, he was the sweetest man ever. We finally get the car to the rental and obviously missed our flight. we had to be on standby all day. We went from California skipped over Utah to Colorado and went back to Utah, long day of flying. We get our bags and of course one of them had to be missing, we had to take care of that. Just as we think we are home free we get to the car and the battery is dead.
We had to wave a car down, push the car out of the space. and jump start it. It was one crazy day, we made it home a lot later than planned.
The vacation was so much fun, I had so much fun with my family and I am so glad my parents let me go! even though Nick couldn't be there.
